Tattoo removal Options

Before having my Tattoo removed what are the questions that need to be answered

Getting a Tattoo for the first time seems, for many like a rite of passage,  a way to tell the world that I’m grown up now I can make my own decisions and do what I want with my life and my body Well that’s what I thought before I got my first tattoo, but it didn’t take too long before I realised I had made a big MISTAKE. It didn’t take me long to realise that what I had done will be with me for the rest of my life.

So what made me change my mind about this new tattoo, well a number of factors, I didn’t plan it properly, it just didn’t sit on my skin right, the tattoo artist wasn’t as good as I thought and didn’t produce the quality of tattoo that I wanted. So now I was faced with a dilemma that thousands of other people face, how to get rid of an unwanted tattoo.

There are a host of tattoo removal options available and I spent months researching and learning about these different methods and trying to find the best tattoo removal options and this was how this site was born. Before I started building a list of all the possible tattoo removal methods I first had to answer a number of burning questions about the different processes and what  was involved and I’m guessing that if you found my site you are asking yourself the exact same questions.

These are the questions I needed to try and find answers for:

  • Tattoo removal cost (I was just out of college, so wasn’t exactly flush).
  • Will it hurt (getting the tattoo was just about bareable, so how much will it hurt to have it taken off).
  • Will the tattoo be completely removed, or will I be left with scars or some blotchy marks on my skin.
  • Are there any health risks involved, I don’t want a tattoo but if it means ending up in hospital I could live with it on my skin.
  • Do I need to have my tattoo removed by a specialist or is there some DIY or at home tattoo removal options available?

Well those are the questions that were burning in my head before I started on what would prove to be a long and interesting journey in the world of tattoo removal.

Pretty early on it was clear that the different tattoo removal options can be broken into 2 distinct categories, surgical tattoo removal and “at home tattoo removal” or DIY tattoo removal. As you can guess the first option is going to cost you if you decide to get a specialist involved and because of my lack of funds I decided to start my research with the home tattoo removal methods. Now as I had decided to research the DIY methods and even though it would prove a cheaper option this was counter balanced by the level of pain that would have be endured,  it wasn’t a compromise I was willing to make but as I could not afford the surgical methods I was left with very little choice.

Does Home Tattoo Removal Work?

If you are looking for an effective home tattoo removal method then will need to keep looking because I’m afraid you won’t find any form of DIY tattoo removal that will produce the results you need, well at least not on this site. What you will find though is advice that you can trust. The … Continue reading
