Surgical Methods

There is something which every person does in his/her life which leads to regret later on. Application of tattoos is one of them. There are reasons which make us feel that the tattoo is no longer working for us. The most popular reason for tattoo removal is that it reminds you of your ex-lover who has made an exit from your life. You may have got the cobra tattoo imprinted around your neck when you were just 18 and now you are facing a problematic situation whenever you have to appear for an interview to get a job.

Reasons can be many for your problem. But there are solutions available as well. There is advancement in the field of tattoo removal in the past few years providing several beneficial solutions. The solutions depend on the size and pattern of your tattoo, the pain you can bear and obviously the budget you can afford.

Removal using Laser

Often know as excision tattoo removal the laser technique is one of the most popular methods for tattoo removal. The laser technique involves concentration of a beam of light on the tattoo, which leads to breaking up of the pigment into several parts, which then get absorbed into the mainstream blood.

In order to eradicate a tattoo completely, you would need to undergo quite a few treatments. Each treatment would require deeper penetration into your skin which would lead to scabbing and blistering on your skin with accompanying pain. Due to the advancements in technology, the resulting scar is minimal but that again depends on the varying treatment.

This kind of treatment is definitely going to burn a hole in your pocket as each session costs from $250 to $850 and can require up to ten sessions.

Therapy using Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)

IPL is one of the latest techniques for dermal enhancement. It is a superior method for tattoo removal as compared to the laser method. Like lasers, IPL too uses the high intensity light pulses but it also involves gel to be applied on the area which is to be treated.

This method is less painful and bearable than laser method. It is more effective and compelling and thus requiring less total treatments. However, the disadvantage is that IPL treatments cost higher than the laser methods, at least up to $10 per pulse. This means that the entire treatment would be quite expensive.
